Indiana Rocketry is proud to host LDRS 44 April 16th thru 19th.  We have an amazing group of Landowners, Land Manager and Farmers so we ask everyone to respect the land we are using.  Recognise that we fly at the pleasure of this group and must do everything possible to protect the land they use to make their living.

Registration is required for every adult who is going to fly rockets or assist a child with flying rockets.  All flyers must check in at the registration desk for their flying credentials.  Pre-registration is highly recommended to make the on-site process much more efficient.   PLEASE REGISTER ON LINE NOW!  The last day to register online will be 04/03/2026.

Launch Hot Line: There will be a launch hot line phone number printed on your name badge to use for critical issues that Indiana Rocketry needs to know about during launch operations.

All critical information available on this website will be published in an official LDRS 44 Program that will be included in pre-registration packages and will be available at the registration tent.

In order to register for the event and fly high power rockets, you must be a current Tripoli or NAR member and sign the waiver.   If you are not currently a Tripoli or NAR member, sign up for Tripoli membership or sign up for NAR membership prior to the event.   To fly low power rockets (A-G impulse), you will need to register and sign a waiver.  TRA or NAR membership required to access the low power pads.

This event strictly adheres to Tripoli Rocketry Associations SAFETY CODE.  All flyers are encouraged to read and understand all the rules of safe flying.  You can review the safety code here.

Anyone flying high-power rockets or assisting at the high-power pads must register for the event. This includes Tripoli/NAR Junior Level 1 flyers age 12-17 (either certified or planning to certify Level 1)
All adults flying Model Rockets or assisting children who are flying Model Rockets must also register and be a member of TRA or NAR

In order to register for the event and fly rockets, you must be a current Tripoli or NAR member. If you are not currently a Tripoli or NAR member, sign up for Tripoli membership or sign up for NAR membership prior to the event

Save money and save time by pre-registering for the event here. Pre-registration costs $60 via PayPal or you can register in person at the event at a much higher cost. We also recommend purchasing banquet tickets and purchasing your LDRS 44 merchandise while pre-registering
NOTE: If ordering more than one registration, please start a new PayPal transaction so the system captures all the key information.

A registration packet will be available for all who pre-register with your badge, banquet tickets, and merchandise making it much simpler to start flying

Children under the age of 18 who are only flying Model Rockets from the low power pads do not need to register, but they must be supervised by a registered flier and must be accompanied by a registered flier at all times. If the child’s accompanying adult is not a registered flier, the adult may coordinate with a registered flier or an Indiana Rocketry staff member to fly Model Rockets with the child.

Note: Model Rockets are rockets that are less that 3.3 pounds in weight and are being flown on motors with less than 80 Newtons average thrust, less than 160 Newton-seconds of impulse (G motor or smaller), and less than 125 grams of propellant. These are rockets similar to Estes model rockets and other types of rockets that are not defined as High-Power Rockets. If you have a question about whether your rocket is a Model Rocket or not, ask a staff member.
Spectators Watch For Free
Spectators who are not flying rockets, assisting at the pads, or accessing the range may attend the launch for free and are not required to pay to register.  Please use the designated parking area and spectator area
